- Do you easily get seasick? Bigger is better in this case. Royal Caribbean's Voyager Class (142,000 ton!) include Voyager of the Seas, Explorer of the Seas, Adventure of the Seas, Navigator of the Seas. Not only that, these have cool features such as rock climbing, ice skating, and promenade shopping mall.
- Make sure you prepare the proprer travel documentation. Ask your travel agent about visa and passport requirements.
- Royal Caribbean lets you book directly. Check their website (www.royalcaribbean.com) for hot deals and cruise specials.
General Cruising Tips
- For each port-of-call in your itinerary, do ask in advance for the list and price of excursions. Plan accordingly as these can add hundreds or thousands of dollars to your budget.
- Consider packing jointly instead of having separate suitcases. This way, if one gets lost, you'll still have half your clothes.
- Make sure you budget enough money for all the extras you will incur on the cruise. Wine and liquor, tips, gambling, arcade games, excursions are not typically included in your fare and can add hundreds or thousands of dollars to your cost
- Celebrating a special occasion? Be sure to let the crew know, whether it's a honeymoon, an anniversary, a birthday, or a whatever. You never know what the staff on board will concoct to surprise you and make you feel extra special.
- To stretch your budget, you can book an inside cabin instead of one facing the sea. Hopefully, you won't spend that much time in your cabin anyhow.
- Do consider travel insurance.
- Make sure you prepare the proprer travel documentation. Ask your travel agent about visa and passport requirements.
- If you need airfare, those last minute cruise discounts may not be such good deals after all. Be sure to consider all travel costs when comparing cruise options.
- Make travel agents (online and otherwise) compete for your business. Do get multiple quotes.
Enjoy your Royal Caribbean Cruise!
